I read with pleasure, the article in the JG this morning about your house. Can you give me some info about putting fabric on the walls? What type of fabric, how it’s applied, etc? Or can you direct me to a good website. I’m going to ‘google’ it, but would love your input. I live in Decatur and own a 1909 Dutch Colonial. I bought it as an estate from the original owners/builders. It’s a labor of love 🙂
Hi Janice! Thanks for reading! You can check out my post on how to put up a fabric wall here: https://ourvintagepleasure.com/2012/09/22/lions-and-tigers-and-wall-fabric-oh-my/
I used fabric starch to apply it because you can easily peel off the fabric later. You can also use wallpaper glue. Try to find a fabric that is an organic fiber like cotton, those will stick the best. Your home sounds awesome!
